Femme was born in Virginia, and based in Kansas City, Missouri.
She picked up a can in 1996 to show the guys in town who doubted her that a lady could most definitely rock! She purposely chose a
name hinting at gender with hope of inspiring others. At first it was all about getting up, improving the letter structure, making her mark &
now the objective has changed. Letters will always be the foundation for the on-going inspiration in her work with the current focus on larger
than life portraits in aerosol. Nature and abstract expressionism are important influences on her painting. Femme9 enjoys creating larger
than life portraits with a street art aesthetic.
